2009 ACE Expo Wrap Up
The 6th ACE Expo was bigger and better than ever reports Briony Rowley, CMPA Administration Officer.
WITH the economic issues of today affecting companies around the world it was very positive to see the number of CMPA Members, both suppliers and construction material processing business owners/employees, who attended the 6th Australian Construction Equipment Expo held at Sandown Racecourse from Thursday 26 to Saturday 28 February.
ACE 2009 was once again packed full of suppliers with plenty of gear on show. It was great to see a number of the CMPA’s Associate Members on show including:

The entertainment at the 2009 event was certainly the most impressive yet and included shows of skilled but crazy freestyle madness from some of Australia’s most accomplished 50cc mini-bike riders.
Rather than ramps and barrels the riders were jumping loader buckets and an articulated haul truck supplied by CJD Equipment.
Another attraction which certainly drew in the crowds was the Triple Eight V8 Supercar racing car which was located on the Komatsu Australia stand for the duration of the show, and more importantly a visit from V8 Supercar legend Craig Lowndes who signed autographs and talked about not only his racing experiences, but also his experiences with the Komatsu equipment on his property.
It was great to catch up with many of the Members at the expo and I thank those who took a few minutes to drop in on the CMPA stand.
