Dinosaurs are Coming to Frankston!

By on October 25, 2008

To make sandcastle dinosaurs requires lots of sand and Aidan J Graham Pty Ltd was able to help as reported by BRIONY ROWLEY, CMPA Administration Officer.

FROM Boxing Day 2008 through to Anzac Day weekend 2009, Frankston Waterfront will once again be transformed as 3,500 tonnes of sand is carved into spectacular sculptures by Sand Sculpting Australia.

This year the team of 21 creative and extremely talented artists from Australia and countries all over the world will bring to ‘life’ a valley of prehistoric creatures that will amaze and delight visitors of all ages.

Beach sand can’t be the sole source of sand for the event and as such sand for this project had to be sourced. As with previous years, the sand was sourced from Aidan J Graham Pty Ltd.

The sand has particular properties that make it highly suitable for high quality sand sculpting and has the added advantage of being located in close proximity to the event location.

If you would like to visit this event, the details are available at www.sandsculpting.com.au

A roundup of the event including photos will be included in the February/March magazine.
