A progressive range of courses in quarrying and extractive industries

By on January 31, 2017

NOEL PICKERING, Training Consultant in the Extractive Industries for Box Hill Institute (BHI) reports on what is on offer this year.

The Australian quarrying industry has provided the  building blocks and paved the way for our vast and rapidly developing country.  Every day,  Australia uses around 400,000  tonnes of  aggregates   for  our  housing, building, road  works  and community  infrastructure. Fortunately,   Australia  is  rich  in earth’s  resources.  As a result the quarrying and extractive industries offer a wealth of career potential.

Box  Hill Institute offers a  progressive range of  courses in quarrying and extractive industries, from entry level to advanced, with many available as traineeships. These courses are flexible to suit your individual needs and those of your employer, and are designed to meet current regulatory and industry requirements. All courses are nationally accredited, therefore your qualification will be recognised Australia wide.

I am pleased to advise that in 2017, BHI will offer the following qualifications.

In 2017, the government funding model has changed slightly. For Cert III to Diploma, Box Hill Institute will continue to be able to  offer some government funded places. However there is no government funding available for Cert II and the Advanced Diploma. It has quite an impact on our pricing.
