CMPA 2005 AGM & DINNER

The CMPA AGM and Dinner are fast approaching!
Date: Saturday 13th August, 2005
Time: Annual General Meeting from 5:15pm, Opening of CMPA Dinner at 6:30pm
Location: The Premiere Function Centre, Traralgon

This year’s event includes more family fun than ever!

With a bus travelling down from Bendigo, through Melbourne, and out to Traralgon on the Saturday—this is only the beginning of what is bound to be a great weekend! Some of the exciting activities available include a bus tour of the Loy Yang Power Station, a trip out to Walhalla on the Sunday including a BBQ lunch, Long Tunnel Mine Tours, Harley Rides and Steam Train Rides!

For a weekend of family fun why not attend the 2005 CMPA Annual General Meeting and Dinner!

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Time: 5.15pm to 6pm
During this time, pre-dinner drinks will be served for other guests

  • CMPA Chairperson’s Annual Report
  • Associate Committee Chairperson’s Annual Report
  • Education Committee Annual Report
  • Treasurer’s Annual Report including Budget
  • Presentation and Voting upon the Audit Report

ANNUAL DINNER
Time: Seated by 6:30pm, concluding at 11:30pm
The Annual Dinner will include a speech by Dale Elphinstone, Managing Director of William Adams on his life and achievements, the Komatsu band MLC playing hits for all to dance to, a caricaturist sponsored by William Adams, a horse race with a twist, and plenty of quality food and drink.

GETTING THERE
Can’t be bothered driving? The CMPA has organised a bus that will travel from Bendigo to Traralgon, with a pick up to occur in Melbourne (where cars can be left securely). This will cost $35 Bendigo/Traralgon return, or $20 Melbourne/Traralgon return, including Sunday lunch . (Limit 50)

THINGS TO DO
Saturday: A bus tour of Loy Yang Power Station will occur in the afternoon returning by 3.30pm. A bus will pick up people from Traralgon. (Limit 50)

Sunday: Fancy a trip to historic Walhalla? The bus (and anyone in cars) will travel to Walhalla on Sunday.

Steam train journeys lasting 40 minutes can be taken, a Long Tunnel Mine tour sponsored by CME will occur at 1pm, even Harley Rides are all on offer. A BBQ sponsored by Smith Equipment will be provided for all.

WHAT TO DO WITH THE KIDS
Children over the age of 16 are welcome to attend the dinner, however please be aware that there will be alcohol served at the tables. If there is sufficient interest, a trip to a G rated movie will be arranged during the dinner for all younger children. Please contact the Secretariat.
