Associate Committee Meeting

On Friday 26 November 2021, the CMPA Associate Committee held its last meeting for the year in Bendigo at the All-Seasons Resort Hotel along with MS Teams.
The meeting was opened by the Associate Committee Chairperson, Jason Rudge (William Adams). Also in attendance was the new CMPA Chairperson Jason Comben. The first topic on the agenda was the 2021 Annual Dinner, due to its cancellation the discussions were based around the refund and roll over of Sponsors funds. There was a good uptake of roll overs meaning we are in a very strong position for the 2022. The CMPA 2022 Annual Dinner will be held at Wangaratta Gateway Hotel in Bendigo on Saturday 27th August 2022.

The next six Issues of Sand & Stone are filled with articles focusing on employees of the Voting and Associate Members and also Workforce Membership articles. They are an important part of the CMPA Association and are the backbone of the extractive industry.

The CMPA is currently working with Tereze Communications on improving the Association’s digital marketing plans. An audit has been completed and the next steps are to look at ways to improve the website and social media platforms. The CMPA website is a great way to promote the CMPA and its Members within the industry and beyond; it is a way to provide a positive image of the industry to the community.

The CMPA online presence and community engagement messages about “Quarries Building Communities” will look to grow in the coming months with the development of a series of videos throughout the year. (This project has been carried over from last year).
