MARK DENNY has worked for Clark Equipment for the last ten years, within the Doosan Construction Equipment product range. Having a background within the Capital Equipment markets that exceeds 20 years.

Clark Equipment, an Australian owned company, has been supplying and supporting equipment for over 60 years. Today Clark Equipment employs over 500 staff, with over 20 branches across Australia and New Zealand.

Many of you may not be familiar with the Doosan name, as it is a relatively new brand within the Australian Construction Equipment market; but lies at the heart of what you already know.

Doosan, as the owner of Bobcat, Moxy Articulated Dump Trucks, Geith Hydraulic Attachments, Mottrol Hydraulic Componentry as well as, what was previously Ingersoll Rand Portable Power, now Doosan Portable Power, contributes significantly to the day to day operations of many businesses within the quarrying industry across Australia. Doosan Infracore, through the Doosan Mottrol Componentry division is a supplier of major hydraulic components to many other branded OEM’s , namely Caterpillar, Kobelco, JCB, Volvo, Hyundai, John Deere and Sandvik to name a few. The first of the Hitachi excavator range, was manufactured within Doosan factories, as was the original Isuzu and MAN engines for which we have all become familiar with today.

Clark Equipment offers the Doosan Excavators from 14 tonne to 80 tonne operating weight and Wheel Loaders from 2.0cbm or 11 tonne, through to 5.7cbm or 32 tonne operating weight. Doosan, via the acquisition of Moxy, also offers the DA30, 30 tonne & DA45, 45 tonne Articulated Dump Truck range. The product offerings across the range, come standard with industry leading Factory backed Warranty, being 3 years/6000 Hrs Full Machine, rather than a partial/driveline warranty, which has been the norm across the industry.

Mark went on to outline – “My position within Clark Equipment and that of representing Doosan Construction Equipment, encompasses the sale of the product offering as well as the implementation of the full scope of Account Management. This ensures that buying the Doosan product, not only creates efficiencies within your business, but also partners with you, your business and your staff for a long and fruitful relationship going forth”.

“My undertaking is that, the Australian Quarrying Industry, via the members of the CMPA, continue to realise the strength of the Doosan brand; being the oldest company in Korea, with over 123 years of ‘manufacturing know how’, and continue to accept the brand for what it is able to offer, and play a part in its success within the Australian Construction Equipment market.

Part of the appeal of my day to day undertakings within my role, is that of seeing the surprise from prospective customers that have never operated, nor do not understand the capability and or quality of the Doosan product. This misconception, is quickly left behind, once we are able to get operators in seats and owners to tour our facilities and see firsthand the quality that lies within the brand.”

Today, the Doosan product can be seen on many of Australia’s premier job sites and within some of the country’s largest quarrying applications, being loved by owner operators and family owned businesses alike.

The Doosan product is of a high quality, with outstanding reliability and performance” writes Andrew Goldman – Managing Director – Andrew Goldman Excavations Pty Ltd.
