CMPA News (Issue 85)
Is your supplier a ‘CMPA Preferred Supplier’?
The CMPA has continued its aim of supporting members by lifting standards in the manner in which Members’ conduct their business activities; be it training, networking, occupational health and
safety, industry-regulator relationships or the way we have conveyed our input into legislative changes.
Support the suppliers who support you.
CMPA Associate Members supply quality products at reasonable prices to help keep your operating costs in control. The greater the patronage towards Associate Members the greater the benefits come your way. Are you supporting your fellow Associate Members by providing opportunities to quote for your business?
Encourage your existing suppliers to join the CMPA and continue to be your preferred supplier of choice. More Associate Members in the same supply category also brings you competitive pricing for equivalent quality.
This will bring mutual benefits to all Members and assist in weathering the difficult times the industry is currently facing.

CMPA Associate Committee Meeting
On 22 February 2016 the CMPA Associate Committee held its first meeting for the year at the premises of CJD Equipment in Campbellfield.
An update was provided by the Secretariat on the 2016 Annual Dinner including the return of the Silent Auction and certificates to be presented to Associate members recognising 15+ years of membership of the CMPA. The location of the 2017 Annual Dinner was also mentioned, with further details to come. Networking and socialising activities for the weekend to include golf and potentially go karts.
The growth and development of all CMPA communication mediums including Sand & Stone, the Preferred Suppliers Manual, the Wall planner and the website were discussed. The Secretariat is to develop a new media kit to include advertising specifications for all of these publications as well as requirements for supplying web ready material. An integral part of being a member of an association is to be able to communicate to other members what you are all about and what you can offer to help grow each other’s businesses. Successful businesses can only benefit the industry in the long run.
With the new CMPA website up and running a reminder to all Associates that you’re Member Login allows you to make real time changes to your Preferred Supplier details and make adjustments
to your key word search capabilities. Google analytics and reporting are also a high priority for the Secretariat to identify the usage by members and the public to the website.
Other networking opportunities for 2016 are currently being investigated including topics for workshops and meetings. As well as other ways to be able to communicate more regularly with voting
members was keenly discussed.
