MILES BEAMISH is a Senior Business Finance Broker at Finlease, specialising in Asset and Property finance for small and medium sized businesses.

He began his career in finance over 25 years ago, starting in Business Banking before migrating to asset based lending.

After a number of years with the banks Miles joined Finlease in 2002 and has been working closely with the mining, civil, rental and quarry industries since then. Through this experience, he has gained a thorough understanding of what clients are looking for when it comes to finance and how to interpret those needs into finance proposals to get his clients’ funding approved. This is not rocket science, the client already knows why they wish to buy the equipment, have done their research and made the decision to acquire. Miles’ role is to represent the client in their best but accurate light, put their application into “financier speak” and then negotiate the right outcome with the best lender for that requirement.

On top of his personal commitment, Miles is supported by Finlease’s significant buying power which comes from funding over $400mil p/a in Equipment and Vehicle finance through a dozen competitive underwriting banks and finance companies.

To give context to Finlease, the company emerged in the late 80s as a 1 man band travelling the industrial areas of Sydney offering SME companies with a better alternative for Equipment Finance than what they were getting from their banks. Since then Finlease has grown to a team of over 60 with branches Australia-wide.
