New CMPA Associate Member Mactown Consulting
Anita, owner and Director of Mactown Consultants was a WorkSafe Inspector and Group Leader of the Earth Resources team before moving into the private industry. Anita wanted to start her own business after seeing a gap in risk and safety professionals with practical experience.
Anita is a Chartered OHS Professional, Certified Risk Manager, and has post-Graduate qualifications in safety and environmental management. She’s worked in operational and leadership safety and risk roles in mining, aviation, government, and nuclear safety.
Anita has a soft spot for the industries, having some great friends in the mining and quarrying sectors, she has seen firsthand the lack of support available. Anita is passionate about helping others through her experience and knowledge, and now being a consultant, she can do that more freely and practically.
Mactown Consulting work with businesses in building their capability and maturity in managing risk. Services include the development of safety/risk documentation, risk assessments, bowtie analysis, risk software, training, site inspections, regulatory support, and incident investigation.
I became a member of the CMPA as I saw the value they added to industry while I was managing WorkSafe’s Earth Resources team. I had participated in a number of workshops and training run by the CMPA and saw real value in continuing that relationship when I moved into private industry. Being a member also provides me with up-to-date information on what’s happening in the industry, and what services I may be able to assist members with.
