Peninsula Quarries – Community Grant
The Community Grant started with the appointment of the Peninsula Quarries Community Engagement Group Commenced in 2018 which involves PQV Management, Mornington Peninsula Shire Council, Earth
Resources, EPA, DELP along with neighbours and local residents. The Grants program is delivered through the PQCEG with funds up to $5,000 per year available for not-for-profit organisations and groups within the Somerville,
Tyabb and Mornington regions. Previous grant recipients include the CFA, Somerville Community House, local primary schools and sporting groups.
Balnarring Junior Football Club applied for the Grants program in early 2022 and their application was successful along with other recipients to receive an allocated amount of the grant. We have been advised that they have used the funds they received to purchase 24 synthetic footballs for their 4 junior girl’s teams. Their application connected to the Engagement group as it allowed us to be involved with supporting a local club and promoting young female inclusion in football.

Peninsula Quarries (Vic) joined the CMPA when the business started in 2018 and has been an active member since, attending and participating in workshops and online seminars.
CMPA has been a fantastic source of knowledge and has connected us to other independent quarries and suppliers within the industry.
