Conundrum Holdings Pty Ltd attends Careers Expo Day
BRIAN CALOVIC, Health Safety and Environment Manager from Conundrum Holdings reports on the recent careers expo at Assumption College Kilmore (ACK).
On the 25th May 2018, Brian Calovic and Grace Hill from Conundrum Holdings attended the ACK Careers Expo Day as an employer exhibitor. Over 1500 students attended the day from schools around the region in what was a very successful day organised by the College. There was a wide variety of exhibitors at the event and Conundrum Holdings saw the opportunity to present extractive industries to the students as a career option at a localised community event.
Conundrum Holdings recognises the importance of promoting our industry to the next generation as well as supporting the community through employment opportunities, training and development of young people within our own organisation as well as the industry as a whole.
We look forward to building on our relationship with the school communities and continuing to support regional development. As a follow up we have offered the schools in attendance a guided tour of our Epping site to further promote our company as a potential local employer and careers choice. We would like to encourage our fellow quarry operators to consider these events in their own communities to create awareness of what we can offer as well as a positive community engagement exercise.
We would also like to thank Gavin Moreira (CMPA), Brian Rowley (Komatsu Australia), Paul Sutton (IQA) and Jason Rudge (WilliamAdams) for their support with exhibit set up, hand outs and information to display at our exhibit.
