Kinder celebrates 40 years
For over four decades, Kinder has pursued innovation and excellence in bulk materials handling.
Founded in 1985 by Neil and Christine Kinder, the family-oriented business has grown from a small Australian operation into a globally recognised company, with an expanding network of partners and distributors spanning from Michigan in the United States to back home in Western Australia.

Kinder proudly celebrated its 40th anniversary alongside its biennial Partner and Distribution Conference. The dual celebration marked an important milestone for one of Australia’s longest-standing bulk materials handling specialists, reflecting on the company’s journey while also looking ahead to the future of innovation and collaboration.

The celebrations captured the spirit of Kinder’s culture bringing together employees, customers, suppliers and distributors from around the world.
The event combined a highly successful and informative conference focused on distribution, innovation, and industry developments with an evening of celebration filled with great food, music, and shared stories.

It was a chance not only to reflect on Kinder’s progress, but also to strengthen the relationships that have supported the company’s continued growth.
Following the welcome, guests were treated to a series of speeches reflecting on Kinder’s journey over the past four decades. Founders Neil and Christine Kinder shared stories from the early days of the business, reflecting on its humble beginnings and the strong relationships that have been built and nurtured over the last 40 years.
They highlighted the importance of the people behind Kinder’s success and expressed their excitement for the many milestones still to come.

CEO Charles Pratt reflected on his own 21-year journey with Kinder. He spoke about how the company had been shaped not only by its dedicated team but also by trusted partners and distributors who worked alongside Kinder over the years.
In 2025, Kinder was acquired by a consortium led by Attalis Capital, marking the next chapter in Kinder’s continued growth and development.
This celebration and at the heart of Kinder’s success has always been its people. From engineering and product development to customer service and technical support, the Kinder team is united by a commitment to continuous improvement and delivering value to customers. This dedication was evident throughout the conference and anniversary celebrations.

The event also highlighted the importance of Kinder’s long-standing relationships with partners and distributors around the world. Over the past 40 years, these collaborations have played a vital role in shaping Kinder into the organisation it is today.
As Kinder looks to the future, the company remains committed to the same principles that guided its founding innovation, partnership, and a relentless focus on improving bulk materials handling solutions for customers worldwide.
