By on April 16, 2014

GAVIN MOREIRA, Member Services Manager from CMPA provides a snapshot of the OHS Amendment Regulations 2014.

Background

The occupational Health and Safety Amendment regulations 2014 (OHS Amendment regulations) came into effect on 1 July 2014. These amendments will improve the workability of the regulations and reduce compliance costs for business without reducing safety standards. Amendments have been made to various parts of the occupational Health and Safety regulations 2007 (OHS regulations), including the plant, construction, mines and licensing parts.

What this means for you

If you are already complying with the OHS regulations, you will still be compliant when the amendments come into effect. However, some of the processes and requirements will be simpler.
