PREMIERE OF STONE SHOW

By on March 8, 2005

In April 2005 the Stone Institute of Australasia and dmg world media will jointly present The Stone Show as a major feature of the inaugural Form and Function Expo. This exciting new exhibition will be co-located with design EX, Australia’s premier design event, creating the largest event in Australasia for the building, construction, architectural and design industries.

As an important new addition to the Form and Function Expo,The Stone Show is tipped to become a prestigious draw card, showcasing the largest range of natural stone and stone-related products in the Sth Hemisphere.

According to CEO of the Stone Institute Australia (SIA), Michael Ramsey, the Stone Show was developed in response to feedback from the stone industry for the strong need to educate, promote and unite all facets of the stone industry operating in Australia and its nearby regions.

On for three days from Thursday 21 April to Saturday 23 April 2005 at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre (Southbank), the Expo will occupy 30,000 square metres jam packed with products, services and technologies from more than 550 exhibiting industry suppliers. It’s set to attract more than 15,000 industry visitors.

The stone industry recognises the quality of both the local and imported stone and the benefits of benchmarking to assist consumers and specifiers of stone to make informed choices on value. The SIA and the Stone Show will provide the platform for quality companies to position themselves among leading architects and designers associated with interior and exterior forms and functions.

The Stone Show within the Form and Function expo will provide the industry with invaluable tools that will:

  • showcase quality products and services
  • initiate creative ideas for use of stone by architects, designers and property developers
  • lead to growth markets
  • educate specifiers about products/services
  • establish each company with a positive point of difference
  • expand market penetration
  • reward those suppliers who showcase their most prized products and services
  • provide recognition for excellence

“As a first for the industry, the combined event will appeal to and complete the needs of the entire industry. With architects increasingly having to wear the twin hats of designer/developer, even designer/builder and builders needing to understand architects and designers challenges and vision, we have developed the expo to meet the changing and converging needs of the industry,” says exhibition organiser, Norm Lembke.

Whether your business specialises in supplying construction materials, insulation products, air conditioning systems, flooring, waterproofing, framing systems, environmental services & products, cladding, plumbing gas and air systems, roofing, balustrading, doors and windows and other architectural, building and or construction materials, exhibiting at Form and Function is a not-to-be-missed opportunity for any company looking to expand their business base.

While we have had an overwhelmingly positive response from companies wanting to exhibit at Form and Function, there are still fantastic opportunities for companies to become involved. Over 80 per cent of available floor space for the combined event has already been sold to 370 exhibitors, so space is filling up quickly!
